These are the kinds of topics my husband and I happen to talk about over our morning coffee LOL. They are the staple of our marriage--what makes our marriage work ROFLMAO. Do you guys think that bad eyesight was as common in the caveman days as it is now? I mean I can't imagine a caveman having an easy time hunting--he'd never be able to focus on the target lol. I can just see this grimy, fuzzy man with a spear squinting, trying to aim, throwing his spear and hitting a buddy, followed by the inevitable YAWP if it didn't kill the poor guy. HEHEHEHE--Ok yea, my husband and I had a chuckle, too.~~Maia

We can rationalise it out this way, I think; the ability to see those animals preying on us and differentiate them from animals we preyed on was a required survival tool. If you could not see them, you were either their dinner or you went hungry and you starved to death. Either way, the gene pool was thinned out LOL.

I guess I would have to say no bad eyesught was not common at least for the first 18 to 20 years of life. Lets face it, by that old age most of them had died form various causes.

Being a caveman was not all fun and games.

It would be possible to work around bad eyesight some. Day to day events would be no problem. I am surprised by how much I memorize things. I am in the top 10 worst eyesight -LOL. Put my glasses on the bed once, knew what part of bed- a corner for crying out loud- felt for them and still could not find them. Managed to find keys to car, make it out the house and get ones from car.- two stories. Could not find spare in house , on dresser somewhere.

So, If I was a cavewomen, I could see my destiny. Nice "puppy", Nice "Puppy". Puppy would have a good snack.

Or end up in a giant spider web. Would never see it.

I figure if I ever end up in the ocean, it will be nice dolphin, nice dolpin. Why do you have big teeth?
