This was posted under the intro section--I felt that it would have been best suited in this one. Copied and pasted directly without changes:
to all who were in game last and witnessed the drama that unfolded. It should have been handled differently, and very sorry that it was left in the open to interrupt your game time.
Happy hunting,
Griff

This was posted by MND under Griff's message. I have moved it here because it did not belong there:
I have apologised to Steph, Griff, and Jaz for my part in what happened, during and after.
The one problem with us playing late at night is that emotions run a little rawer and our communication skills are a little rougher.
The Alliance experienced growing pains last night. We had trouble seeing the direction we were going and which foot to put forward to move in whatever direction. Cross communications, backchat in 'whisper mode' and open talk put us at cross purposes, all in front of the prospective members.
I expressed major and minor concerns to Steph in whispers as the 'interview' was going on but was not clear as to which really worried me (the age thing) and what was just an aside or observation (pvp vs pve) Steph did her best to bring ALL concerns forward and I left, leaving her hanging in the breeze.
It is not all about me, but I think a good part of the frustration level can be hung round my neck. I set her up and then ran when the questions went in a direction I didn't like. That left Steph looking foolish and unsupported. . . . she wasn't and she still isn't.
Again I apologise to all but most especially Steph and the leaders of Nix

This message was from Maul under the Alliance Proposals section. I have placed it here because it relates to this topic:
A new guild was being considered for membership in our alliance with Nix and apparently this has/will not be proceeded with. My understanding is there were issues about age and PVE vs PVP. Most of this is dealt with under Guild Issues. They had underage people and felt they couldn't abandon them. Fair enough.
Our guild is essentially PVE which means we do quests, work on missions, and help people through the game. This is as STATED in our Guild mission statement. The guild being considered appeared to be more heavily involved in PVP meaning Alliance Battles. There is nothing wrong with either and each can facilitate fellowship ( after all isn’t this why we play this game ) but one of the stated purposes of our guild is PVE. We do need to expand our alliance but in ways that strengthen us overall. This is best done by joining with groups of similar interests or at least balanced in purpose. We shouldn’t make an alliance where the overall balance would be against our goals.
Now some of us may prefer to move to a heavier concentration on PVP. I have been in guilds in the past where emphasis was based PVP and generating Faction points for the guild. I became tired of it and this is NOT where I see we are.
Our mission statement says we are a PVE guild. If anyone disagrees with this, they should speak up and say so WITHIN the guild and not run around whispering it to others.
I don’t see any change happening so you may not be happy here. However, everyone would listen.
