Green farming- Oct 13thHi all
I am doing green farming starting friday around 730 pm eastern.
My goal is to not only get some greens, but to capture skills and collect loot.
I think of this as a training adventure. So please do not be shy, all are welcome. All you need is your character and the places on the map. Bring out those lower levels if you want to.
This is a time of learning and all about having fun.
I will also try to keep the pace on the slow side for those oh so important chats. 
I will be taking my necro and switching secondarys to get all those skill caps in.
I plan to hit the begining areas in factions on the mainland. I can take my monk out but am limited to the temple area with her.
This is also a good opportunity to finish up some quests as well and get to know the others.
So come all and join in the fun.
I will also try to get another run set up for Sunday night around 8:30-9 pm. I'm looking at trying to hit Jade sea area then.

I've got three for sure shows. 
I think we are starting with Market or Kaieg (sp) first. That area has easy bosses to get to and I know everyone has them on the map. well almost everyone.
I'll give a shout when rdy to set off.
I'll like to do undercity at some point, but have to wait and see if ppl have a place close to that on the map.
That's one thing about this. If you have quests to do, you can finish some of them up.
My goal is to get some loot for some ppl and skill capture for others. Having fun is the most important thing.
I'll like some greens to come out of this. Have a three times the chance of getting lucky. But I've killed that one boss like a dozen times or more and no greens.
Unlike on the island , I killed two bosses for the first time each and got a green.
If I find out that ppl are missing places we will be fighting there with farming on the way. Not planning on doing missions but if a gp decision and we run out of places that's on the agenda too.
In other words, hours of fun with killing and mayhem. Moving from one section to the next.

I've forgotten to mention that a nonguildie/ alliance player is coming.
Plz be kind to him. So do not be surprized if you join us and he's there.
I think he is still in a guild, but he does not play on a regular basis. Maybe after Nightfall I can nudge him into playing more.
I'm so Psyched. It's taking more than three weeks to get him on line.
My old pal who is in the guild and my other "new" guildies are coming too.
I'm so happy. They think I'm on a sugar high at work. 
Just a word of caution. Take those painkillers now. Cause you will be falling of your chair laughing so hard.
As a matter of fact brb- will mean emergency bathroom break or I fell of the chair. You might see EBB or FOTC that works too.

hey thx to all that participated.
Even though we got killed , got green out of first run.
Got second green from second run and ended up getting killed once again.
We never adavnced far but at least got something from it.
sorry jim that other run never got off the ground.
As for kylie and dark, sorry about the bad runs. Things just went downhill from the second run on. Just too tired. I think my quest messed us up in the undercity. Went back in, no problems. No greens.
I even had all the elite skills.
So thnx all, it was a learning experience: LOL
Better luck next time. mine seemed to have all run out this night.

I have so many greens my storage is full already. Vasburg, Sunjiang District for the Kaolin stuff, and Imperial Sanctum for Koosun. Every Vasburg run there were at least 2 greens out of the 7 or 8 bosses.
It's awesome to get drops, but I hate how anet just made every Canthan green worth 1k...

I'm glad you had some luck with those greens.
I was afraid nobody was having any fun, but I got some feedback asking if I would be willing to do it again.
Thnx, yes I will do it again. I just have to work this weekend but I will try to sneak in at some point tonight and other times this weekend.
Just can not figure out how to sneak the laptop into the Lab. LOL
Just so you know I will probably be playing Heather( M) when I do.
I'm getting a little tired of mistaking orsion of healing for troll urgent. LOL
Just can not pull of that N/M build as of yet. Too used to N/R.
So if anyone is interested just PM me in the game. I tend not to pay too much attention to the chatting until all the action is over.
So if I do not respond, I'm probably tied up atm. But I will get back to you.
Thx again to the Alliance and Guild memebers who joined us. Was fun dying with you.

I hear ya Ken, and I would have loved this weekend event, but I deplore sitting or standing in town and spamming "WTS"--are you kidding me??? I am not gonna spend hours and hours trying to make a few plat. Now, if someone else were looking for something, say a particular weapon, I'd be more than happy to help out...But farming for farming's sake, lol, this weekend is useless to me.~~Maia

I'm using this weekend as a chance to get skills.
And to build up a power base for Nightfall and to test out new builds.
Personally, I'm not too concerned about the greens. It makes me happy when I can take someone out that has never landed one ( a green) and they end up with one. It happened last night so one goal accomplished.
I'm in it to bond with my fellow players and to hopefully find the best build for me to use.
The quests take you right by the mosters/bosses. So we knocked a few of those off as well as working on that explorer tiltle. Never made it to a point where we had to do a mission. Heck never made it far at all. LOL
But we had fun and that was the whole point.
My personal goal was to get 3-4 Pt for everyone in the party, if not higher. Did not make it. 
Not, that I would not mind to get a green for my necro.
I also managed to capture one more elite skill. Yea, only 36 more to go.
So if you want to hang around, with no idea of what you may be doing. (LOL) with the off chance of scoring a green or skill. Feel free to join. Come with your character and the wisecracks and prepare to kill or be killed.

As much as I hate spamming WTS...ok fine Steph you are right, I thrive on it...lol, I can't argue against 800k in storage 
I am going around getting greens I want to keep that I already don't have like the Vera, Everthorn's Chakrams, Kaolin Accursed Staff, Kaolin Blade, Koosun's Fire Staff. Most of the Canthan greens are crap I find. Even my collectors healing staff is better than the Scar Eater; the so called "best healing staff in the game." Green weekend has been on for 12 hours and already I see people selling the Scar Eater that was 25-30k down to 7k. anet did this on purpose to pump up the new skin hotness for Nightfall hahaha

I hate Wts as well and generally do not do it as well Steph. That's why you ended up with those golds. LOL
I agree that the mods are no better than what you already have. Heck I'm still using stuff from proff. about midway into the game.
I think we are all hoping the prices go back up. Some are just in it for the bragging rights.
I noticed that black dye was back up. 12k to 10.5k Last time I checked- oh so long ago- it was like 5-6k.

You have a hugeee point...all this is about the comraderie anyway...at least to me. So, ANY reason to get a party together works...if it's greens or capping, then its all good. We really don't have to have a particular reason to get together and fight...I'm game to anything.~~Maia

I do want to apologize for not having time this time to join you all for the greens drop weekend. I was really busy getting the place prepped for dinner with the folkses tonight and was on and off the game all weekend. I'm going to want to announce one more alliance activity before nightfall comes out...maybe next weekend. I've been trying to come up with activities...so be watching for an announcement soon for this weekend coming up.~~Maia

I see who had all the luck.
I personally saw four greens drop this weekend. None for me.
Ended up with some nice golds and a couple of purples.
Increased my elite skills from 52 to 57 howerever.
Yea, know about the being busy. Snagged about 6 hours of work in and packed up 3-4 boxes of stuff.
So, overall a great weekend. Had fun.
Even the hubby was on this weekend.
