My cousin, Joanna, sent me this the other day and all I could think was "WOW." This story hits close to home, because Joanna's mother, my cousin, has Multiple Sclerosis. It has affected our family very deeply, helping us all to realize how much life is a gift to be cherished.
My cousin, Dina, is one of the strongest women I've met. Despite her reduced ability to communicate, it is very clear that she still understands and loves visitors. Also, as has always been part of her personality, she still loves a good piece of gossip LOL and a good joke.
What would one do to make some one else's dreams come true?? Often, we go about in our own little worlds, loving and hating, complaining and exalting the things we have or don't have. But would we really be able to set our own goals aside to grant a bit of joy to those who can not?? This is what my cousin sent to me and what I'd like to share with you. Thank you, Joanna, for sending me this--I imagine that it took you a tremendous amount of courage to not only face this email and video, but also to pass it on to those you care for. Love ya hon!!
Copy and paste this link into your browser and prepare to simply be blown away at what one can be willing to do when one loves another deeply. It blew me away, that's for sure.~~Maia
